All of a sudden…

Recently, I was having a conversation when I uttered the phrase, “all the sudden…”. I paused to correct myself and say, “all of the sudden…” when I realized that this particular phrase doesn’t really make sense to me. (The correct phrasing, I gather, is “all of a sudden,” with which some people take major issue.) Why all of a sudden? Can you have some of a sudden? What about none of a sudden? What exactly is a sudden? Is it fluffy?

Jell-O Pudding Pops were awesome.

As a kid, I remember eating Jell-O Pudding pops. Chocolate, Vanilla, or Swirl, those things were the bomb. What person of my generation doesn’t remember Bill Cosby raving about them in commercials? Yet, suddenly, mysteriously, they vanished from production. What the hell? Where did they go? Why were they pulled? Did demand wane that much? Is there any hope for pudding poppers?

Have DVD burner, will burn.

DVD burners are almost ubiquitous with new PCs these days, but the question arises: what are all these people doing with them? Sure, there’s editing videos off your camcorder, or making large data backups, but other than that, what purpose do they serve? DVD video backups, of course! But, how do you do it, and how long does it take?

Blogging spam strikes me!

I have a little blog. When I say little, I mean tiny. I mean, I post occasionally, and very rarely, and no one ever reads it. No one. It’s a lot like shouting down a bottomless pit sometimes, and that’s just the way I like it. Well, if occasionally someone would shout back, I guess that’d be okay too. However, when I hear that voice come out of the abyss, to echo back that I do in fact exist, I would hope it wouldn’t be telling me that zithromax is the answer. Welcome to the wonderful world of blog spam — it’s no longer just the venue of email!
